A Norcross man was arrested this week after he reportedly made threats against a Forsyth County Superior Court judge.
Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Cpl. Doug Rainwater said William Francis Holmes, 36, showed up at the county courthouse at 4:30 Monday afternoon and entered a courtroom
"During the break, he began to loudly proclaim he wanted to speak with Judge [Jeffrey S.] Bagley because of the imprisonment of his wife and his property," Rainwater said in an email.
Rainwater said Holmes is a self-professed sovereign citizen, and when he was asked to leave the courtroom, he went into the hallway and told an unidentified woman he wanted to meet some like-minded people so he could kidnap Judge Bagley.
Rainwater said the woman Holmes claims to be his wife is Christina Breitenbach, 26, of Cumming. She has been in the Forsyth County Jail since Feb. 20, 2019 on a felony probation violation.
Holmes has been charged with intimidation or injury of a grand or petit juror or court officer for his threat to kidnap the judge.
