A Cleveland man has been charged with child molestation and other sex offenses, according to White County authorities.
Capt. Rick Kelley with the Investigative Division of the White County Sheriff's Office, said the sheriff's office received a complaint about Matthew Scott Roberts, 36, having inappropriate contact with a juvenile. According to Kelley, while investigators were following up on the first complaint, they received three more complaints about Roberts having inappropriate contact with three additional victims.
According to jail records, Roberts was arrested on March 19 and charged with three counts of child molestation, one count of aggravated sexual battery and one count of sexual battery.
Kelley did not indicate how Roberts knew the victims. He did not release information on the ages of the victims.
