CLEVELAND — Two White County women have been charged with an armed robbery at a home south of Cleveland.

White County Sheriff’s Capt. Rick Kelley said on Tuesday the victim reported to the White County Sheriff’s Office that he was requested to come to a residence on Skitts Mountain Road and tow a vehicle that had broken down.

When the victim arrived at the residence, he was robbed at gunpoint, according to Kelley.

White County Sheriff’s Office investigators responded to that location to follow up on the report. As a result of their investigation, 34-year-old Jennifer Michelle Davis and 38-year-old Sonya Marie Fuller, both of Cleveland, were arrested and charged with armed robbery, according to Kelley.

Both suspects currently are being held without bond at the White County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
