Cleveland issues Boil Water Advisory for some customers on city’s east side

By Dean Dyer WRWH Radio

CLEVELAND — The City of Cleveland has issued a Boil Water Advisory due to a six-inch water main break.

Andrea Smith, water distribution operator for City of Cleveland Public Works, said the advisory will affect City of Cleveland water customers located in Thunder Ridge Subdivision on the city’s east side.

Streets affected include: College View Drive, Laurel Point, Leadpole Mountain Lane, Mountain View Drive, Oak Point Drive, Pointe Willow Drive, Sunrise Lane, Tree Top Drive, Thunder Ridge Drive and Vista Drive.

Residents and businesses in this area will notice the loss of water or water pressure while the line is being repaired.

A Boil Water Advisory is required by EPD when water pressure drops below 20 PSI (pounds per square inch).

The boiled water is for drinking and consumption purposes, or residents can use bottled water until bacteriological samples can be collected and tested.

The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect until the city lifts the notice. The city will notify the media as soon as test results are received.
