An investigation continues follows a three-vehicle crash in the city of Gainesville that sent two people to the hospital Friday afternoon.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Pearl Nix Parkway and Dorsey Street.
A press statement issued Friday night said preliminary investigation indicated a Chevrolet Tahoe being driven by Alejandro Balbaneda, 17, of Gainesville rear-ended a Ford Edge being driven by Terrell Brawner, 59, of Gainesville. The Tahoe then traveled into oncoming lanes and hit a Ford F-550 being driven by Charles Watson, 68, also of Gainesville.
Police said Brawner suffered a medical episode during the crash and was last reported in critical condition at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Balbaneda was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The press statement did not say if Watson suffered any injuries.
Police said their investigation into the crash is ongoing.
