A suspect now has been named in a double shooting that happened early Monday morning in Lawrenceville.
Justin Kattar, 29, was arrested at the scene of the crime on Wheylon Drive around 3 a.m. on Oct. 5.
Investigators with the Gwinnett County Police Department said Kattar has been charged with one county of felony murder for the shooting death of Brandon Ricks, 24. He also has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one county of cruelty to children in the second degree. A woman at the scene, whose name was not released, was shot and wounded. A child at the scene witnessed the homicide, according to police.
Police said the incident was the result of a domestic incident, but they did not give details on what prompted the shootings.
