A woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries when she was struck by a vehicle Tuesday on the University of North Georgia campus in Dahlonega

Troopers from the Georgia State Patrol post in Cumming said they were called to the scene of the accident around 2 p.m.

Troopers reported a 2007 Chevrolet HHR being driven by McKenna Lin Koons, 18, of Dahlonega turned left from Sunset Avenue onto West Main Street, striking a 22-year-old woman in a marked crosswalk. The pedestrian, Kaitlyn Lee Lefevre of McDonough, was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.

Drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the accident, according to the Georgia State Patrol. No charges were filed.
