RABBITTOWN — It was a pitching duel at East Hall Park on Monday.
East Hall's TJ Smith and Johnson's Tiston Nguyen combined for 21 strikeouts, but the Vikings were able to cross the plate to beat the Knights, 1-0.
Smith tossed the complete game, allowing just one hit and striking out 11. Nguyen sat down 10 Vikings in six innings of work, giving up one run on three hits.
Johnson's James Lancaster nabbed the single hit in the sixth inning. Josh Medina, Alex Brock and Taylor Smith each managed one hit to lead the Vikings.
