Becky Ruffner has been named as interim director of Hall County Human Resources, filling a position that is being vacated by Bill Moats, who is leaving the county early next month.
Moats has served as director of Hall County Human Resources since 2012, and his last day with Hall County will be March 6.
"We appreciate Bill's leadership and expertise in the realm of Human Resources and for the advancements that he made for Hall County and its citizens during his tenure here," said Hall County Administrator Jock Connell in a Tuesday morning press statement.
Ruffner currently serves as the Marketing and Public Relations Specialist for Hall County Parks and Leisure.
Ruffner has over 30 years of human resources experience, previously serving as Hall County's manager of employment and employee development and manager of compensation and benefits, in addition to a previous stint as Hall County's interim HR director.
She will again serve as interim director beginning March 9 until a permanent replacement is named.
Connell said the county will work with a search firm to fill the post on a permanent basis.
