Forsyth County Sheriff's Office renews call for help in search for accused child molester

By B.J. Williams

It's been more than a week since an arrest warrant was issued for a man accused in a Forsyth County child molestation case, and authorities have renewed their call to the public for help in their search.

Ronald Pelissero, 73, is wanted for aggravated child molestation, according to Stacie Miller, the Communications Specialist and Public Information Officer for the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

"It's a pretty egregious charge...so we really want to pick him up," Miller said.

Authorities believe Pelissero could be driving a white 2006 Toyota Tundra SR-5, four-door pickup truck with a Georgia tag RPQ7739. They have released photos of the actual vehicle, hoping someone recognizes it.

Miller also said Pelissero owns firearms, and he is aware he is the subject of a search.

"We're not sure if he is armed at this point, so we're asking anybody if they do come in contact with him that they do not approach and just call 911 right away," Miller said.

In addition, Miller said the sheriff's office is now working with Crime Stoppers to offer a reward in the case. Calls to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and information leading to Pelissero's arrest could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. The Crime Stoppers phone number is 404-577-TIPS (8477). Residents may also contact the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office with information at 770-781-2222.
