Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners will implement single lane closures and traffic shifts along US 129/State Route 11 next week as part of ongoing road reconstruction.
The closures and traffic shifts are scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 2 and Tuesday, Feb. 9, though exact dates may vary due to weather and other factors. These temporary measures will allow for continued work on the 7.06-mile widening and reconstruction project along US 129/State Route 11 in Hall and Jackson counties, which begins at State Route 332 and extends to State Route 323.
The traffic shift is between State Route 332 and Pond Fork Road and will re-route traffic from pre-existing lanes to two newly constructed northbound lanes, using one lane for northbound traffic and the other for southbound traffic.
These traffic shifts will be temporary, but others will occur throughout construction until the project’s completion in August 2021. Updates on traffic conditions and delays can be found at www.511ga.org.
