Parking along Main Street on the Downtown Gainesville Square will be suspended leading up to Thursday night's Kick-off party for the MotoAmerica Superbike Race Weekend in Hall County.
City of Gainesville officials said Main Street will be closed to thru-traffic from 4 - 9 p.m.
The event itself, which is open to the public, is scheduled from 6 - 8 p.m. MotoAmerica personality Michael Hill will introduce attendees to riders, and then the riders will be available for photos and autographs. A DJ will provide music for the evening. Downtown Gainesville restaurants will be open for dining.
The MotoAmerica Superbike Race Weekend at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta begins Friday, April 30 and continues through Sunday, May 2.
