A Forsyth County man has been named the new director of sales at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Alpharetta North - Halcyon.

Major has volunteered for many years as a youth athletics coach with i9 Sports, the Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department, and the City of Cumming Parks and Recreation Department.

"I am honored to join the Embassy Suites by Hilton Alpharetta North-Halcyon team," said Major. "Halcyon is such a unique development that offers a sense of community and connectivity, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to unlock new business opportunities and ensure our hotel is the top choice for guests traveling to the area, for business and leisure alike."

Major previously served as the director of sales for Embassy Suites by Hilton Alpharetta - North Point for six years.

The 160-room hotel will open in December of 2021 and is located at the intersection of McFarland Parkway and Georgia 400, at exit 12.
