Brandalin Carnes has been named to the post of county clerk for Habersham County.
The Habersham County Board of Commissioners on Monday voted 4-0 in an open meeting to extend an offer for the position to Deputy Clerk Carnes; she accepted the job on Tuesday, July 20.
Prior to working for Habersham County government, Carnes worked as an Adult Medicaid Caseworker in Macon County, NC where her work involved aiding elderly and disabled clients in receiving Medicaid assistance with medical bills, nursing home and assisted living stays and community nursing care.
Carnes, a native of Otto, North Carolina, has lived in Rabun County with her husband and their child for the past eight years.
