The Gainesville City School System will be requiring its students and staff to wear masks while indoors and on buses beginning Monday, Aug. 30.
According to a press release, the decision was made after increasing COVID cases in Northeast Georgia and that it would be re-evaluated after two weeks.
The press release also mentioned that the district is encouraging all individuals 12 years and older to schedule their COVID-19 vaccination as soon as possible.
