A student at Winder-Barrow High School was found with a gun on school property on Thursday.
According to the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office, the school administrators got word that the student had a weapon and acted quickly. The School Resource Officer (SRO) found the firearm. The student was arrested and will be charged.
Authorities have said that, due to the student’s age, their name and information will not be released to the public.
The incident is still under investigation.
