Chestatee High School was briefly placed on an interior lockdown Friday morning.
According to Stan Lewis, spokesman for Hall County Schools, the lockdown was to "secure a discipline situation in which a student fled from school officials."
Lewis said the lockdown occurred around 8:20 a.m. and lasted for approximately 5 minutes. All students are safe and the school has since resumed normal operations.
