MACON — Her name may be Bella Brick, but she did not have a single brick of a shot on Friday in the girls 3-point shooting contest at The Macon Centreplex.

The Flowery Branch junior won the girls state 3-point title, outlasting Jefferson senior Elli Kinlaw in the finals, 25-20. Her state title came one day after teamming up with fellow Falcon Landon Mealor to win the Coed state title. Brick was only person in Georgia to walk away with two state titles during the four-day state finals event.

In the finals, Brick, who went first, set a gigantic number after she made an unbelievable 15 straight shots at one point. Kinlaw, however, got hot at the end hitting five straight but could not catch Brick.

Brick may have had a slight advantage after seeing the layout on Thursday in the Coed event.

"It was a great opportunity to get to do this. It was amazing," Brick said. "I think (being here the day before) definitely kind of helped just knowing how the process works. I didn't know I hit that many in a row but after the first rack I just decided I wasn't going to miss any more."

The two Region 8-4A foes advanced to the finals by taking out a pair of Perry shooters in the semifinals. Brick and Kinlow both finished with 22 points in the semifinals while Perry's Vakaya Lee scored just 15 points and Sofie Siemsen 8 points to be eliminated.
