Quinlan Visual Arts Center announces artists for 2022 spring exhibition

The Quinlan Visual Arts Center’s spring exhibition 2022 will display works on April 14 from four solo artists and one artist group from Atlanta.
 
Artists Ingrid Bolton, Jennifer Ferris, Krys Pettit, Shannon Schneider will be at the 5:30 session to speak to attendees. The event is free and open to the public
 
There will also be work from Brushworks Society, which is a collective of artists from Atlanta and surrounding areas. 
 
Ingrid Bolton of Gainesville is known for painting landscapes and impressionistic art in oils. According to a press release, she strives to capture and resonate the spirit, beauty and mood of the moment. Bolton earned her fine arts major bachelor’s degree in 2002 from North Georgia College and State University. 
 
Jennifer Ferris of Alpharetta created over 70 works for this exhibit. She will bring her solo exhibition “Dancing In The Rain.” Her art is colorful, contemporary, experimental, and painted in acrylic. Ferris is a Georgia Tech graduate and teaches at her studio, Ferris Wheel Arts, in Roswell.
 
Krys Pettit is also from Gainesville and covers a wide range of subject matter, from still-life to figurative.  Her paintings utilize oil and watercolor paint, which are two distinct mediums. According to a press release, her art is in various private collections across the county.
 
Shannon Schneider of Roswell was initially a self-taught artist until she attended the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design. She is known for her impressionistic acrylic abstracts, landscapes, still-life and figures. In a press release, Schneider said her inspiration comes from color, geometry, texture and the painting process itself.
 
Brushworks Society will display artwork from a wide variety of styles and temperaments. A press release states that the Brushworks Society was created to give artists a supportive group to share art and ideas with.
 
The 2022 spring exhibition will be on display until June 4 at the Quinlan Visual Arts Center.
