One man was shot and a suspect is in custody in a Tuesday afternoon shooting in the parking lot of Walmart on Shallowford Road in Gainesville.
Lt. Kevin Holbrook with the Gainesville Police Department said the victim was shot in the leg. The man was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center and was in stable condition at last report.
Holbrook said a person of interest was arrested. Police believe the shooting was the result of a domestic incident.
Holbrook said police remained on scene shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
