Georgia Skin Center is excited to announce they are joining Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology. The Gainesville-based Georgia Skin Center, led by Misty Caudell, MD, FAAD, FAACS will continue practice at Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology’s Gainesville location.
After years serving her patients’ skincare needs, Dr. Caudell, recognized the need to place more of her focus on patient care. After careful consideration, Dr. Caudell made the decision to join practices with Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology and her colleague and longtime friend, Dr. Ross Campbell.
Dr. Caudell – a board-certified dermatologist with more than 15 years of private practice experience – will continue to see her patients in the new location.
“This decision was made from a place of love and devotion to care for my patients, and it will allow me to put my complete focus on their dermatology needs,” said Dr. Caudell, a northeast Georgia native who opened Georgia Skin Center in 2016. “I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Campbell. In fact, I’ve known him since medical school – more than 20 years.
“Our practices’ share a very similar approach to care, including a commitment to personalized, exceptional care, so this change made perfect sense. That is why I am so eager for my patients and staff to see what joining together will allow us all to accomplish.”
Georgia Skin Center patients will receive seamless integration into Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology. All Georgia Skin Center patients will continue to receive dermatologic surgical, nonsurgical, and cosmetic services from Dr. Caudell – who has been named an Atlanta Magazine Top Doctor for the last five years (2018-2022). Dr. Caudell holds an undergraduate degree from Georgia Tech and a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where she finished in the top 10% of her class. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of South Florida, a fellowship with renowned cosmetic surgeon and dermatologist Dr. Suzan Obagi and is double board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery.
Her board certification in Facial Cosmetic Surgery places Dr. Caudell in an elite group of surgeons who have demonstrated the highest standards in training, knowledge and experience in procedures including fat transfer, face and neck lifts, facial fillers, laser treatments and skin resurfacing. Notably, her board certification also qualifies her as a surgeon who can confidently and effectively handle medical emergencies and perioperative care and establishes her as a medical professional who prioritizes patient ethics and communication.
Dr. Caudell’s detail-oriented conservative treatment approach includes expertise in advanced surgical and nonsurgical treatments for the face, skin, and body. She provides specialized cosmetic treatments such as BOTOX®, Dysport® and dermal fillers; fat transfer; fractionated laser resurfacing; and chemical peels such as the Hetter Peel and Obagi Blue Peel®.
Dr. Caudell’s office will now be located at Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology’s location at 1498 Jesse Jewell Parkway SE, Suite D, Gainesville, GA 30501 – just one-third of a mile from the current Georgia Skin Center. Dr. Caudell will begin seeing patients in the new building on Sept. 27.
“During the move I will continue to have access to all my patient records and expect a smooth transition with no gaps in patient treatment,” Dr. Caudell said. “My staff will be moving with me and offer a familiar face to my patients at Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology.”
Joining with Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology will also provide patients with access to Ross Campbell, MD, the owner of Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology, and a fellowship trained Mohs surgeon – which is the most effective treatment available for certain types of skin cancers, including basal cell carcinomas. Dr. Campbell has performed more than 50,000 Mohs surgeries and has an infection and reoccurrence rate well below national statistics.
A graduate of the University of Georgia and Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Campbell also completed an additional fellowship in ACGME procedural dermatology, completed a general and plastic surgery internship in Seattle, and his dermatology residency at Brown Medical School where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Campbell is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is the visionary behind Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology’s approach to high quality, patient centered care.

“I am also excited to introduce patients to the two wonderful providers I will be working alongside: Natalie Meeks, MD, and Jody Clearman, FNP,” Dr. Caudell said. “Like Georgia Skin Center, they too provide compassionate and generous attention to their patients.”
Dr. Meeks is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Meeks attended the College of William and Mary for her undergraduate education, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience. She then earned her master’s degree and Doctor of Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Meeks went on to complete her internship in internal medicine at Kettering Health Network, followed by her dermatology residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Before joining Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology in 2022, Dr. Meeks practiced dermatology in Ohio. She specializes in general dermatology and cosmetic dermatology.
Jody Clearman is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She attended Pennsylvania State University for her bachelor’s and Master’s of Science degrees in nursing, with an emphasis in dermatology. She has served in the medical field for over a decade, developing a passion for skin health and aesthetic medicine. Jody offers medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology services, delivering a customized approach to each individual’s skin and natural features.
Founded in 2007, Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology opened its practice in Gainesville in February 2022 – one of seven offices across northeast Georgia. Its individualized approach to care – along with familiarity to Dr. Caudell – made it the perfect choice to provide more options for dermatology patients in northeast Georgia.
