The Arts Council announced Thursday that it has launched an initiative to sell off surplus items to support community outreach and its historical facilities.
A public estate sale will be held on November 4 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the former downtown Methodist Church annex at 203 Green Street.
The items to be sold will be discounted furnishings and entertainment-related items the Arts Council said in a press release.
The inventory of items includes chairs, tables, glassware, dishes, utensils, candles and candleholders, vases, cabinets, storage items, retail display units and office furnishings.
Individuals interested in purchasing large quantities as well as individual cabinets can schedule appointments through Wednesday, October 25th, by calling 770-534-2787.
For those who plan to attend the estate sale on Nov. 4, street parking and the free parking garage on Bradford Street will be available.
Cash Transactions are preferred by The Arts Council.
Attendees are also advised that public restrooms will not be available at the estate sale.
“I encourage the community to come out and show your support for the arts while taking advantage of incredibly low prices for these unique items,” Executive Director of The Arts Council, Pamela Williams-Lime said.
Other for-sale items will include furniture, decor, rugs, lighting, Christmas decorations, artwork and art supplies, tools, hardware and various electronics.
