COMMERCE, Ga. — Cherokee Bluff finished off the first part of its season with a 67-34 win over Johns Creek in the Battle of the Champions tournament on Friday at Commerce High School.
The win gave the Lady Bears (9-1) the second-most wins in Class 4A at the Christmas break and the highest win percentage in the classification.
Bluff got 18 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals from freshman Bristol Kersh as the Lady Bears won their sixth straight game. Sophomore Claire Carlson had 14 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals and senior Emma Reynolds added 10 points and 5 steals for Bluff.
Kaitlin Cook had 10 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals and Neena Harbuck chipped in with 6 points for the Lady Bears.
Cherokee Bluff is off until taking on Lakeview Academy in the first round of the Lanierland tournament on Wednesday at West Hall.

HABERSHAM CENTRAL 33
Emma Lightsey poured in a season-high 33 points, including 7 3-pointers, to lead the Lady Warriors to a lopsided win at home on Friday.
Lightsey wasn't the only one on fire from long range for White County. Zoe Burkett his 6 3-pointers as part of 22 points and the Lady Warriors drained 14 3-pointers for the game.
White County (12-1) jumped out to a big 25-9 lead after the first quarter and cruised from there. The Lady Warriors led 43-19 at halftime and took a 65-30 lead into the fourth quarter.
Kylie Watkins had 7 points for White County.
Kyia Barrett led Habersham Central (2-7) with 18 points.
BANKS COUNTY 61,
CHATTAHOOCHEE 19
The Lady Leopards won their fourth straight game with a rout of the Class 5A Lady Cougars in the Banks County Jaemor Jingle Jam Tournament in Homer.
Banks County (7-3) led just 23-15 at halftime but outscored Chattahoochee (11-3) 38-14 in the second half. A 21-7 third quarter explosion pushed the Lady Leopards' lead 44-22 heading into the fourth.
Ryleigh Murphy paced Banks County with 17 points. Carley Segars added 15 points, Reese Murphy had 13 points, and Ella Kate Shedd 6 points for the Lady Leopards.
Banks County is off until traveling on Wednesday to take part in the three-day Buc's Invitational Tournament in Panama City (Fla.).

The Lady Indians dropped their fifth straight game in the Banks County Jaemor Jingle Jam Tournament in Homer.
Lumpkin County (3-9) fell behind 15-5 after the first quarter. West-Oak (9-3) took a 28-9 advantage into halftime. The Lady Indians cut the lead to 36-18 heading into the fourth but could not get closer.
