Boys basketball: East Hall, North Hall advance in Region 8-4A tournament; Lakeview beats Loganville Christian

GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Freshman Jamarcus Harrison scored a game-high 24 points to lead East Hall past East Forsyth 71-62 in the first round of the Region 8-4A tournament at North Hall.

Harrison was one of four players in double figures for the Vikings.

Chasen Jones added 15, Levi Holtzclaw had 14, and Cletus Agborsangaya chipped in 11. 

East Hall, a fifth seed, will play No. 1 seed North Oconee on Monday in Bogart, Ga., at 7:30 p.m. 


NORTH HALL 82, 
JOHNSON 20

Casen Payne and Sam Gailey combined for 42 points to lead North Hall to the win over Johnson in the first round of the REgion 8-4A tournament. 

Payne led the Trojans with 22 points, while Gailey added 20. Micah Jimerson had 14 points. 

North Hall will play No. 2 seed Madison County on Monday at Cherokee Bluff. Game time is 6 p.m.


LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 60,
LOGANVILLE CHRISTIAN 47

Justyce Sadler scored 31 points to lead the Lions (14-12, 5-3) past Loganville Chrisitan on the road Friday.

Lakeview jumped on Loganville Christian from the tip, taking a 17-9 lead after the first quarter and a 31-20 advantage at halftime.

The Lions continued piling it on in the third quarter, grabbing a 43-26 en route to the win.

Jack Collins added 14 points, and Brock Graham netted 9.
