A teenager was arrested after allegedly shooting a juvenile victim Friday night in the Barrow Crossing shopping center in Bethlehem.
According to a press release from the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the shooting call at 11:21 p.m. to find a male juvenile with gunshot wounds. He was transferred to an area hospital for treatment.
Deputies arrested Edwin Emiliano Rodrigues-Pena, 18, of Athens at the scene. Rodrigues-Pena is charged with: five counts of aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated battery, criminal attempt to commit murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He remains in the Barrow County Detention Center with no bond.
The case is still under investigation, and the sheriff's office said no motive for the shooting had been determined.
