A single-vehicle wreck in Habersham County on Saturday left one man dead.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the wreck occurred around 5 p.m. when the driver Aaron Hopkins, 52, of Demorest failed to negotiate a curve on Lake Russel Road and went down an embankment.
The car hit a tree on the passenger side and Hopkins was not wearing a seat belt authorities said.
Hopkins was declared dead at the scene.
