A crash in Franklin County has fatal results Wednesday morning.
Georgia State Patrol says in its press releases that a two-vehicle crash on Hale Crossing Road claimed the life of one driver, 49-year-old Mary Ann Baker of Royston when her Dodge Ram truck collided with the Nissan Pathfinder of 40-year old Megan McGarity of Royston.
GSP investigators say Baker was pronounced dead at the crash scene upon their arrival at around 8:15 Wednesday morning.
McGarity was taken to Piedmont Athens Regional from the crash scene with serious injuries.
Investigators say Baker's truck crossed the center line of Hale Crossing Road, entering the lane occupied by McGarity's SUV upon impact.
