A suspect in an attempted Forsyth County bank robbery Saturday morning remains at large after he escaped from the bank empty-handed.
According to an incident report from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened Saturday at about 11:30 a.m. at the Regions Bank on McGinnis Ferry Road in Alpharetta.
An employee of the bank told authorities a man entered the building and said he wanted to make a withdrawal. The employee asked the man if he had an account with Regions Bank, but the man responded "No." The suspect then passed the employee a note that said, "Give me all your $20s, $50s, and $100s."
The employee proceeded to slip the note back to the suspect, and told him "no."
"The unknown male took a step back, placed one of his hands in [his] waistband and used the other hand to partially lift his jacket," the report reads.
However, the bank employee told authorities he could not see a weapon. The employee then told the suspect, "No, you need to leave."
The suspect exited on foot through the front doors, walked to the intersection of McGinnis Ferry Road and Faircroft Drive, and ran south across the street in front of a gated neighborhood. He then ran west.
The Johns Creek Police Department used their K9 unit in an attempt to find the man, but he was not located.
The suspect was described as a white man in his early 30s, standing about six feet tall. He was wearing a blue baseball hat, a white jacket, light grey slacks, a white surgical mask and blue rubber gloves at the time of the attempted robbery.
