City of Suwanee to host Jolly Holly event next weekend

By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

A most wonderful time for the winter season is about to take over the city of Suwanee next weekend!

Suwanee Town Center Park is the location for the city's annual Jolly Holly Days and Market.  A press release from the City of Suwanee says that officials are thrilled to share details about this year's expanded event, including festive performances, tree lighting, photos with Santa, unique shopping opportunities, and activities for the whole family.  The Jolly Holly Days will also debut the Holiday Pet Parade and the HappyFeat Run, Run Rudolph 5K on Saturday.

The City of Suwanee and Suwanee Arts Center will be teaming up for the Friday night tradition from 5–9 PM, to be filled with:

  • Santa’s Magical Arrival: At 6:30 PM, Santa will make his grand entrance and be available for photos with children and families. While waiting, kids can work on their letters to Santa to deliver directly to him during their visit.
  • School Performances: Enjoy festive tunes performed by choirs from Level Creek, Roberts, Riverside, and Suwanee Elementary Schools.
  • Holiday Crafts & Vendors: Browse unique items to get a jump start on your gift list, or create your own holiday masterpieces at craft stations.
  • Tree Lighting Ceremony: At 8 PM, help Santa light the dazzling holiday tree after a special performance by All Stars Performing Arts Academy.

On Saturday, December 7, Town Center Park will transform into a winter wonderland from morning to evening with activities and entertainment that include:

  • Holiday Pet Parade: Dress up your furry friends in their most festive outfits and strut your stuff during the Suwanee Holiday Pet Parade at 11:30 AM. Meet at the holiday tree for a chance to win prizes for your pet's paws-itively adorable holiday look!
  • Shopping Extravaganza: Explore over 80 artisan vendors offering unique handmade gifts, including paintings, pottery, jewelry, woodworking, and more. Watch live demonstrations, such as Jae Montano recreating Bob Ross’s iconic images, and find one-of-a-kind treasures for everyone on your list.
  •  Non-Stop Entertainment: From professional musicians to dazzling dancers and performing arts students, enjoy live performances that will fill your heart with holiday spirit.
  •  Festive Food: Savor delicious bites from local vendors and food trucks, offering everything from hot chocolate to international cuisine.

Also,  start your Saturday morning off on the right foot with the HappyFeat Run, Run Rudolph 5K at 9:00 a.m.in Town Center Park. This race is for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, with plenty of holiday cheer along the course. Runners are encouraged to wear your favorite festive attire—think reindeer antlers, Santa hats, or elf costumes—and join in on the fun for a great cause. Proceeds from the race benefit HappyFeat, a local nonprofit dedicated to creating inclusive opportunities for individuals with special needs.
