PENSACOLA BEACH, Fla. — The North Forsyth girls stayed unbeaten and walked away with the championship of the Insfree Christmas at the Beach Basketball Tournament after beating Arlington (Tenn.) 68-42 Monday night.
The Lady Raiders (15-0) led from the opening tip but had just a 23-18 lead after the first quarter. They unleashed a tenacious defense in the second quarter, holding the Lady Tigers to just 2 points while building a 33-20 halftime advantage.
North Forsyth continued to control the game extending the lead to 52-32 heading into the fourth quarter.
London Weaver poured in a career-high 36 points to pace North Forsyth. Gabbie Gliatta had 8 points and Emmae Rose 7 points for the Lady Raiders.
North Forsyh will be off until Jan. 7 when it travels to rival Forsyth Central for a Region 6-6A contest.

The Lady Vikings snapped a 2-game losing streak and geared up for their Region 8-3A schedule with a win at Valhalla on Monday.
Terriah Watkins led the way for East Hall (7-5) with 19 points. Kaylana Curry added 11 points for the Lady Vikings.
Amari Burce and Haley Barton each had 8 points for East Hall.
The Lady Vikings will be back in action on Friday at home to open their Region 8-3A slate against Oconee County.
