Georgia State Patrol (GSP) says a motorcyclist was killed and a passenger seriously hurt following a two-vehicle wreck which has a truck driver facing charges in Union County,.
State troopers were called to the scene along Georgia 11 by Spiva Bridge Road on Saturday, February 3 at around 1:45 p.m.
Upon arrival, investigators said the unidentified motorcyclist was found deceased after a northbound tractor trailer failed to yield while turning in front off the soutbound motorcycle, causing the collision.
A release from the GSP says the driver of the truck now faces DUI and other motor vehicle charges. Names of the deceased victim, his seriously injured female passenger, and arrested truck driver have not been released.
