BUFORD, Ga. — Region 8-7A champion Buford was taken down to the wire by Osborne on Tuesday in the opening round of the Class 7A playoffs.
The Wolves got 22 points from Jackson Houston and 17 from Brennan Wansley in pulling out a 52-49 win at The Buford Arena.
Osborne was able to push the Wolves with balanced scoring. Omari Chaudhry had 11 points, and Jeremiah Waters had 10 points for the Cardinals.
Buford will take on the Norcross-West Forsyth winner on Friday in the second round.
Those two teams will meet in Norcross on Wednesday.
