Tennis: North Hall sweeps Cedar Shoals

ATHENS, Ga. — The North Hall boys and girls swept Cedar Shoals Thursday night to remain undefeated in Region 8-4A play.

Both squads blanked Cedar Shoals, 5-0, while only losing five games all day.

In the boy's action, Jack Maddox defeated Sam Michael 6-0, 6-0 in No. 1 singles; Cole Grover knocked off Jadon Zhang 6-0, 6-0 in No. 2, and Alex Crocker shutout his opponent Andrew Chang 6-0, 6-0 in No. 3 singles. In doubles action, No. 1 doubles Luis Delgado and Easton McNair defeated Chris Kulik and Spenser Waldroup 6-1 and 6-0, and No. 2 doubles Logan Adams and Jaycob Wagner won 6-1, 6-1.

The Trojans improved to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in region play.

For the girls, Lilly Perry defeated Dritsia Griffith 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles; Maggie Perry beat Katie Kulic 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2, and No. 3 singles Kaye Rogers beat Caroline Michael 6-0, 6-0.

No. 1 doubles Addie Bangs and Ellie Bangs grabbed the win over Karisma Muhammad and Merlin Barrerra 6-1, 6-0.

The Lady Trojans improved to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in region play.
