By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

The Gwinnett County Police Department has arrested two women for felony shoplifting and multiple outstanding warrants.

A Gwinnett Police press release says on May 8, officers responded to the Target department store at 3205 Woodward Crossing Boulevard in Buford in reference to a shoplifting call. The two suspects who were later identified as Demesha Latoya Brown (age 30, Decatur) and Angelique Breshawn Reddick-Gautam (age 30, Atlanta) were suspected of shoplifting on this date and several weeks prior to this incident.

Officials say the suspects had six outstanding warrants combined from outside jurisdictions from shoplifting to retail property fencing. Both suspects were arrested and transported to Gwinnett County Police Headquarters and interviewed by detectives. After their interviews, both suspects were transported to the Gwinnett County Jail without incident.

Demesha Latoya Brown was charged with Theft by Shoplifting Felony and Criminal Attempt to Commit a Felony. Angelique Breshawn Reddick-Gautam was charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit a Felony, Theft by Shoplifting Felony, and Giving a False Name to Law Enforcement.  Gwinnett detectives say they are still reviewing additional evidence and more charges might be forthcoming against both suspects.
