The Lumpkin County Board of Commissioners recently announced the grand opening of Pinetree Recreation and Water Park.
Lumpkin County officials said they will hold a ribbon cutting on Saturday, May 25 at 9:30 a.m. at the facility on 215 Pinetree Way, Dahlonega.
The new water park offers a lazy river with zero-depth entry and play structures, two water slides and an eight-lane community/competitive pool.
The indoor facility offers a versatile double gymnasium for basketball, volleyball, or pickleball plus six outdoor and lighted pickleball courts.
The ribbon cutting will include refreshments, free slushies and prizes.
The water park will open immediately after the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
