Georgia Department of Transportation officials say patching work will cause nightly lane closures on Ga. 13/Atlanta Highway starting Sunday between Gainesville and Oakwood.
A release from GDOT Friday morning said the work will cause single-lane closures Sunday through Wednesday each week for the next three weeks between 7:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The work will stretch from Jesse Jewel Parkway in Gainesville southward to the Interstate 985 interchange.
The work will be weather permitting, and GDOT said delays are expected in both directions of the roadway. Drivers in the area are asked to drive slowly and be cautious around workers.
