The Northeast Georgia Medical Centers (NGMC) health system is once again receiving high honors for its medical care at a national level.
NGMC Braselton and NGMC Lumpkin were recently awarded the 2024 Lantern Award by the Emergency Nurses Association. Northeast Georgia Health System is the first system in Georgia to have four campuses recognized with the award after NGMC Gainesville and NGMC Barrow received the award in 2023.
Angela Gary, executive director of trauma and emergency services at NGMC says, “ We are deeply honored to see two more of our hospitals recognized for providing excellent emergency care. This award is a testament to the relentless hard work and compassion our team brings every day, ensuring each patient receives immediate, life-saving treatment."
The Lantern Award recognizes emergency departments that demonstrate exceptional and innovative performance in leadership, practice, education, advocacy and research.
