By Bo Wilson Sports Editor

Buford (4-1) remains the highest-ranked area team in Tuesday's latest Friday Game Night state-wide composite rankings.

The Wolves blew out Discovery last week and come in at No. 2, behind undefeated Carrollton (6-0)

In Class 5A, Gainesville (4-1) stayed at No. 6.

In Class 3A, Jefferson (3-2) didn't move any and is No. 3. Cherokee Bluff (5-0) dropped from No. 5 to No. 7.

Meanwhile, in Class A Division 1, Rabun County moved up one spot to No. 8. Commerce (2-3), which lost a heartbreaker to top-ranked Athens Academy, 29-28, last week, continues to receive votes but has yet to crack the top 10.
