Below freezing temperatures and blustery winds are in the forecast through parts of this week for much of northeast Georgia. Officials in Gwinnett County are doing what they can to help the less fortunate with avoiding the wintry elements.
Gwinnett County officials have announce that they are opening their warming station locations between Monday, January 6th and Wednesday, January 8th, 2025. Gwinnett County's warming stations are for residents to receive temporary, overnight relief when temperatures reach 35 degrees and below.
Residents who visit the sites will be able to warm up, eat a meal, and get some rest. The warming stations will be available from each scheduled night betwwen 6:00pm until 7:00am. There will be locations in Buford, Duluth, Lawrenceville, Norcross and Snellville.
