Authorities have arrested a student who allegedly made a threat against a middle school in Jackson County.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office posted to social media Sunday that the unnamed juvenile had recently been arrested on a felony charge of terroristic threats and acts.
The threat, which was not publicly specified by the sheriff's office, was reportedly made against East Jackson Middle School near Commerce.
"The Sheriff's Office and the Jackson County School System have been in close communication with each other throughout the case," Jackson County Sheriff Kevin McCook said. "Although the investigation is ongoing, it appears to be isolated to the one individual. The suspect's parents have been cooperative with law enforcement."
