There are a few big matchups on the Tuesday basketball schedule.
In Region 6-3A, the Dawson County girls (13-7, 6-3 Region 6-3A) travel to White County (16-4, 8-1 Region 6-3A) in a game that won't change the standings but could get the Lady Tigers one step closer to a better seeding in the region tournament next month. However, the Lady Warriors still have their sights set on at least a No. 2 seed.
In Region 8-3A, the No. 2 Jefferson girls (16-4, 6-0 Region 8-3A) will host Oconee County (16-5, 5-1 Region 8-3A). If the Lady Warriors beat Jefferson, the two will be tied atop the standings. Jefferson beat Oconee County in the first meeting on January 7, 48-37.
