GAINESVILLE -- Chestatee breathed a sigh of relief and West Hall was left wondering what might have been on Friday.
The War Eagles rode a gutsy two-point conversion to a 15-14 victory in Gainesville, while the Spartans could only watch in agony as a potential game-winning field goal flew just wide left with 20 seconds remaining.
The two plays proved the only way to separate the cross-county foes, who slugged it out for 48 minutes, combining for almost 500 yards between them.
Chestatee's offense did grind its way to 233 yards on the ground, while the Spartans passed for 179
