COMMERCE -- Commerce scored 19 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to rally for a 19-7 win over rival East Jackson Friday night.
The Tigers trailed 7-0 after the Eagles' Deangelo Moore scored on a 3-yard run in the first quarter. It stayed that way until the fourth quarter.
Commerce (1-1) tied the game on a 3-yard run from Drew Whitfield and then took a 13-7 lead on another 3-yard TD run from Whitfield on the Tigers' next drive. They sealed the win late in the game on a 44-yard interception return for a touchdown from Caleb Brooks.
Commerce piled up 211 yards rushing, paced by 82 yards on 19 carries from Whitfield.
East Jackson (1-1) had just 106 total yards of offense.
