CUMMING - Even though a GBI investigation is not yet complete, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has released surveillance video from a courthouse shooting in June.

The Sheriff's Office said it would have no comment on additional findings in the case, citing the ongoing work of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

The video footage was taken on June 6, the day 48-year-old Dennis Ronald Marx arrived at the Forsyth County Courthouse around 10 a.m. Marx drove his vehicle up to the steps of the courthouse and opened fire, injuring a deputy in the process.

Officers opened fire and killed Marx. They later determined that Marx was carrying an assault rifle and explosives in his vehicle. (See link to story from June 7, 2014 below.)

Marx had been due in court to plead guilty in a drug case the day of the shooting incident.
