LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) Thousands of students in Georgia's largest school system could be changing schools under a plan to redraw school attendance areas.

Four schools are scheduled to be open next fall in Gwinnett County Public Schools. WSB-TV reports that when school starts next fall, many students will likely be sent elsewhere. The station reports that the redistricting plan is likely to affect about 14,000 students.

Officials say that students from Berkmar, Central Gwinnett and Meadow Creek high schools -- along with the middle and elementary school that feed them -- will be most affected.

A final decision on the plan is not expected until December.
Gwinnett County includes several of Atlanta's northeastern suburbs in areas which have seen high population growth in recent years.
