TOCCOA — A Stephens County woman who had been the object of a search by north Georgia drug agents since last week is behind bars.
Christel Glenna Ivester, 39, turned herself in Tuesday, September 29, according to Mitchell Posey, Special Agent in Charge of the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office.
Drug agents last week found almost 270-thousand dollars worth of drugs in Ivester's home on Hayes Road in Toccoa as they were executing a search warrant.
Ivester has been charged with trafficking cocaine, marijuana and meth among other offenses. Jail records show that Ivester has a criminal history dating back to 2005.
She is being held without bond, according to jail records.
