Jackson County investigating body found at school

JEFFERSON — The body of a female was found Sunday on the campus of a Jackson County school. 

An employee found the body on the campus of Jackson County Comprehensive High School. 

Sheriff Janis Mangum said Sunday night the body is "not a student or associated with any school personnel." 

Mangum said the investigation is ongoing of what appears to be a self-inflicted death.
