CORNELIA - The Georgia State Patrol has released new details in a wreck that killed one person and injured another Monday morning in Habersham County.
The fatal crash happened on Pea Ridge Road near Cornelia. Trooper Stephens with the GSP said around 9:10 a.m., a vehicle was traveling southbound and a tractor was traveling northbound when the vechile struck the farm tractor head on.
Trooper Stephens said the driver of the vehicle died, and they determined the victim was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the tractor suffered injuries after being ejected, and was transported to the Habersham County Medical Center.
Trooper Stephens said the vehicle driver's next of kin had yet to be notified.
