Lanier Christian Academy has scheduled its first ever Backyard BBQ and Auction for Education for later this month.
Lanier Christian Academy, a merger of North Georgia Christian School in Flowery Branch and Heritage Academy in Braselton, began operating under the same umbrella on January 1, 2016. The April 23 event at the campus on Strickland Road is an inaugural fundraiser for the new school.
The event is free to the public and includes a live and silent auction, a student artwork display, live entertainment and a BBQ meal.
All funds raised from the auction will benefit the students at LCA, according to organizers.
The event takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 23 at Chestnut Mountain Church at 5285 Strickland Road in Flowery Branch.
