The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission and Workforce Development will be hosting an overview session August 9 to familiarize anyone interested in WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) tuition assistance with the benefits and requirements of the program.
These overview sessions normally last one hour and attendees do not need to bring anything with them, according to a news release from the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission. All WIOA applicants are required to attend an Overview Session, and applications are only distributed during these events.
The Career Coach will be on-site at the conclusion of the WIOA Overview Session. Computers and assistance will be made available to interested applicants, so they can begin gathering the information required for their WIOA application. These help sessions normally last two hours, and attendees of previous overview sessions are welcome to return for additional assistance.
This event will be begin at 10:00 and will be held in the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission Training Room, located at 1310 W Ridge Road in Gainesville.
